As we mentioned yesterday, there is so much going on in 410 Communities in Kenya and Haiti that sometimes its hard to keep up without overwhelming all of you wonderful people! So, this week, we are catching up on Kyle Reschke’s updates from 410 Haiti. Thank you, Kyle, for keeping us so well informed from your blog as God works in Haiti!!
As I have written all along, I think the most important thing to remember regarding the water in Leveque is that it is being run as a community asset, overseen by members of the community. I must give a HUGE shout out to Rachael Jankowski who works with Mission of Hope and has been truly awesome in coordinating efforts and keeping everyone on the same page throughout recent months. This water system will be providing clean drinking water for thousands of people in the area – and it bears mentioning again that this is just Phase 1 of the water solution for the community. As the surrounding communities come to realize that this is the cheapest and cleanest drinking water in the entire area, the need for expansion and creative efforts in increasing volume will be necessary. For today, I think we shall just take this step back, enjoy the work that has been done, and thank the Lord for this life giving water in Leveque. Tomorrow, we will be back to work in moving forward
