The 410 Bridge Model
The 410 Bridge is a U.S.-based community development organization. We empower individuals to use their gifts to help create lasting life change in over 25 communities around the world.
We do this through a unique missional model that can be sustained in a healthy way by indigenous leaders and through the local church in the nations where we serve.
1. Indigenous Leadership
In each 410 Bridge community a Leadership Council, comprised primarily of local pastors and leaders, is established first.
2. Community Assessment
Each Council identifies assets and gifts in their community, as well as the community’s greatest needs, both physical and spiritual.
3. Development Plan
Development Plan – After assessing a community’s needs, the Leadership Council prioritizes the areas of development they believe need the most attention and makes an action plan.
4. Partnership
The 410 Bridge and our partners then come alongside these communities to help them achieve their goals.
When Faith Becomes Action: The Story of Los Jazmines
Two years ago, in a small community in Guatemala, a group of women and two gentlemen took a bold step of faith. They didn’t have a business plan or financial background. What they had was a shared desire—for something different, something better. They wanted to grow. They wanted to believe. And most of all, they wanted to act on their faith.
That’s how Los Jazmines was born.
At first, it was a simple savings group, supported by 410 Bridge. A place where members could learn to manage money and build a safety net. But it didn’t stay simple for long. It quickly transformed into something much deeper—a place of prayer, discipleship, encouragement, and miracles.
Bringing Urgent Relief to Nicaragua’s Flooded Communities
In the remote villages along the rivers of Nicaragua, life is changing—and not for the better.
Recent floods have devastated entire communities, displacing families, destroying food supplies, and washing away crops that were meant to sustain them for months to come. The villages of Makantaka, Makantakita, Company Crick, Dakban, Guadalupe, Kansas City, Betania, Angloamerica, and La Esperanza have been hit especially hard. Over 80 families in each village are now facing an uncertain future.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen flooding in this region—but those on the ground are calling this situation uniquely devastating.
Homes are unlivable. Crops are gone. Hunger is growing.
The Story of Edy Josué Ruiz
When Edy Josué Ruiz arrived at the rehabilitation center in 2018, his life was marked by loneliness and the pain of his father’s absence. He didn’t speak, didn’t play, and found refuge in silence. But God had a plan for him.
The rehabilitation center provided the support he needed through speech therapy, motor skills development, and psychological counseling. However, it was the love and faith he encountered there that truly transformed his heart. Thanks to the therapists and their dedication, Edy began to open up—he learned to speak, to smile, and most importantly, to find peace through his faith in Jesus.
Community leaders also played a key role in Edy and his mother’s journey. Through their constant support, prayers, and encouragement, they offered spiritual and emotional strength. The community became a fundamental pillar in his transformation.
The Woman Who Prayed Over Her Rabbits—And Watched Them Multiply
In the highlands of La Nueva Independencia, lives Doña Everarda Carrillo Velasquez, a 67-year-old woman whose life has been shaped by hard work, unshakable faith, and a deep love for the land. For thirty-five years, she stood faithfully by her husband, who lived with Alzheimer’s for fourteen of them. Today, with her feet rooted in the soil and her heart lifted to God, Everarda keeps moving forward.
“God gives me strength,” she says with a conviction that comes from deep within.
Last year, Doña Florinda Jimenez, a member of the Leadership Council, encouraged Everarda and her son to join a Foundations for Farming course. At first, she hesitated “Me? In an agriculture course?” but something stirred in her heart, and she decided to try. During the training, she visited a farm focused on animal husbandry, and something clicked. She was especially drawn to rabbit farming, and from that moment, she felt called to raise animals herself.

Across the hills and valleys of rural Guatemala, you’ll find classrooms filled with potential. Children eager to learn. Teachers devoted to their calling. Communities that believe in the power of education to transform lives.
But too often, what you won’t find are the basic materials needed to make education truly effective.
Teaching Supplies Are Transforming Lives in El Pajal
In the rural community of El Pajal, Guatemala, education has long faced an uphill battle. For many teachers and students, the lack of basic classroom materials isn’t just a challenge—it’s a daily reality. Imagine trying to learn math without a notebook or teach a reading lesson without any books. For children in El Pajal, this is far too familiar.
Teachers in this community are deeply committed to their students. Many have gone as far as spending their own limited income on supplies, determined to give their students the chance to learn and grow despite the odds. But the burden shouldn’t fall on them alone.
