We are having a great time at Catalyst 2010 (A conference for young leaders) catching up with old friends and meeting new friends as well. Our booth this year is focused on Education in Kenya. We have recreated a Kenyan classroom that you can come sit in and watch a video of students in Kenya. We also have a big canvas set up that anyone at Catalyst can come and sign. We will be sending the canvas to schools in Kenya so notes of encouragement are welcome! We also have our THINK bracelets on display. So, if you text THINK to 50555 (which donates $5 to education in Kenya) while at Catalyst, you can let us know at our booth and we’ll hook you up with a bracelet signed by a Kenyan student. You will also be able to sign a blank bracelet to be sent back to Kenya! Check out the pictures below…
One Day At Church
One day at church I felt a calling or a nudge that God wanted me to serve in a different way. I looked through my church’s opportunities and as soon as I saw Kenya I felt a wash of joy flood over me. I applied that day and was overjoyed to hear shortly back that I had been accepted to go. Our church gave us the book “If You Really Want To Help” and from there I fell in love with what 410 was doing for the people of Kenya, especially after reading the story of Chris in Kahuria.
