Musical Chairs!

Kenya Musical Chairs

I LOVE this picture from my North Point High School Service Trip to Joska from this past summer.  This photo captured a hilarious moment and each person’s facial expressions really portray the playfulness and bond our team made with the Kenyans.  This picture was taken during a game of musical chairs when Evan (NP team member, white shirt) pulled one of the remaining chairs out from under Garrett (NP team, blue shirt, on the ground laughing).  There was a huge crowd of US team members and Kenyan students from the St. Francis Primary School gathered around watching this game.  The crowd roared with laughter when Garrett hit the ground.  Both Evan and Garrett were always playing around so everyone shared in excitement as Garrett missed the chair! My favorite part of this picture is the Kenyan student’s face.   He is looking at Evan like he is more than ready for the face off in the next round!

This picture just shows how joyful the experience of playing with and relating to the Kenyan students can be.  They show so much acceptance and love toward the US team members and solid friendships are formed in such a short span of time.  I can’t wait to go back!
