Kenya/Somali Security Update

Just a quick update on the latest information from Kenya. One of two Kenyan suspects arrested for the two grenade attacks in Nairobi plead guilty in court today to nine charges, including the grenade attacks.

His name is Elgive Bwire Oliacha (28). He is a Kenyan and not an ethnic Somali. A Kenyan government spokesman said today that the attacks were not the work of Al-Shabaab, but rather the work of “two young guys inspired by Al-Shabaab.” Authorities hope to arrest the second suspect soon.

The three service teams on the ground in Kenya are doing well.
