Hurricane update in Haiti

We received the following this morning from Kyle, on the ground in Haiti:

All is calm down here now – many areas were flooded but that water was already heavily receding by late afternoon yesterday.

All of the deaf in Leveque and La Piste are well and doing fine. I am off for church in Leveque this morning in just a couple of minutes.

There were some tent areas down the road that were flooded, but all residents had a lot of time to evacuate and most remained very safe – reports from my friends running medical clinics indicate that not many people at all are coming in to seek medical attention – which is a very good sign.
