Christmas in Kenya 2009!

The 2009 Christmas in Kenya Open Group Trip
One of the 410 Bridge 2009 Christmas in Kenya Teams

The Christmas in Kenya program was an incredible time for our Kenyan staff, communities, and team members from the states.  Ninety people from eight different states departed for Kenya the day after Christmas to go and serve in 410 Bridge communities.  Even though the teams and community members live half a world apart, they had a common cause to celebrate this season… the birth of our Savior, Jesus and the excitement of a new year.  To celebrate the gift that was given to us so long ago with the birth of Christ, teams and community leaders gave gifts to the most needy children and families in the community.  Through the generosity of our many supporters we raised funds for almost 5,000 gifts for the Christmas in Kenya program this year! For the ninety team members that rang in the new year in Kenya, and the communities that hosted them, it was a special time for people from different cultures to reflect and thank God together for His faithfulness and provision this past year, and a time to look forward to what He will do in this new year.  No matter what continent you are on, or what circumstances you find yourself in entering this new year, take time to thank God for the past year and the hope He gave us with the precious gift of His son.
