Celebrating Progress: Mugaa Classroom Block Construction

This month, we celebrated an incredible milestone at Mugaa Primary School—the completion of a brand-new 3-classroom block equipped with 120 lockers. This achievement is a testament to the power of community partnership and shared vision.

A Community Effort

The Mugaa Primary School community played an essential role in bringing this project to life. Parents actively participated, contributing 20% of the cost of lockers, gathering stones for the foundation, and leveling the hilly classroom site by hand. Their dedication and hard work are inspiring examples of what can be accomplished when a community comes together for the benefit of its children.

Building a Strong Foundation for Education

This 3-classroom block is the second one we’ve constructed in partnership with the community. The first block, completed last October, marked the beginning of a transformative journey for Mugaa Primary School.

The recent completion was commemorated during a small, intimate gathering led by the community’s Church Leaders Fellowship (CLF). While students focused on end-of-year exams, community leaders and parent representatives joined the celebration, highlighting the importance of education in the region.

Expanding Opportunities

The need for additional classrooms became urgent when the school was awarded ‘Comprehensive School’ status by the Ministry of Education, allowing it to host junior high grades 7 to 9. However, without enough classrooms, grade 9 students faced an uncertain future.

With the completion of these new classrooms, Mugaa Primary School is now prepared to host grade 9 in the coming school year! This expansion ensures that students have the space and resources they need to thrive academically, paving the way for them to achieve their dreams and unlock their full potential.

Looking Ahead

The Mugaa Primary School story is a powerful reminder of the impact of partnership and perseverance. This new classroom block is more than just a building—it’s a symbol of hope, opportunity, and the boundless possibilities that come with access to quality education.

We are grateful to the Mugaa community, Church Leaders Fellowship, and everyone who contributed to this incredible project. Please continue to keep these students in your prayers!
