4 Ways to Support 410 Day

410 Day – happening on April 10th – is an annual fundraising day for our 410 Bridge community to celebrate and continue making a difference in the countries we work in.

Leading up to the day, there are four things you can do to help make this day a success:

1. Pray for impact.

Please join us in praying over our mission (1 Peter 4:10) and our community. You can use your own words, or steal this prayer below:

“God, thank you for your great faithfulness and generosity to us. Remind us of the gifts you’ve given us. Help us to use what we’ve been given to serve those in need in Guatemala and Kenya. We believe you can and will do more than we can imagine. Increase our faith and give us spirits of generosity! Amen.”

2. Share your story with others.

Our community is a world-changing group of child sponsors, community sponsors, business start-up investors, and partners in the church, business, and non-profit spaces. Each member regularly gives time and money to help fight the war on poverty.

Tell your community about what you do with 410 Bridge and why 410 Day matters!

  • Send a text to your family group message.
  • Get creative on social media with a post or video. (Tag us @410bridge and we’ll come say hi!)
  • Reach out to your church or small group.

Feel free to use our social media graphics and sample posts here

3. Invite someone you know.

Pick one person from your own community to specifically ask to participate in giving on 410 Day.

  • Talk to your best friend again.
  • Ask that leader in your church.
  • Tell your coworker at lunch.

4. Give generously.

Prayerfully consider how you can help us meet the 410 Day fundraising goal. We’re asking our community to give $41 or directly purchase a gift towards our economic development programs.

When you’re ready, you can give here.  We can’t wait to celebrate and make an impact on 410 Day together!

One Day At Church

One day at church I felt a calling or a nudge that God wanted me to serve in a different way. I looked through my church’s opportunities and as soon as I saw Kenya I felt a wash of joy flood over me. I applied that day and was overjoyed to hear shortly back that I had been accepted to go. Our church gave us the book “If You Really Want To Help” and from there I fell in love with what 410 was doing for the people of Kenya, especially after reading the story of Chris in Kahuria.

Learnings From Kiu, Kenya

Our partnership with Kiu community started way back in 2009 making it one of the first communities to partner with the 410 Bridge since its inception in Kenya in 2006.

At the 410 Bridge, we work through the community leaders who ensure continuity of the community’s development even after graduation. During our partnership journey, we walk alongside indigenous community leaders and church leaders as they mobilize and unify the community to participate in their own development – shifting their perspectives and owning the solutions.

Serving with Joy: A Week in Mutirithia, Kenya

If you haven’t yet had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Kenya, allow me to do my best to try to put into words what an incredible life-changing experience that you really need to do at least once in your life.

I was recently blessed to travel to Mutirithia, Kenya with an amazing group of 20 other Christian men to serve the families in that community over the course of a week.

We prepared for weeks to make sure everyone understood the primary objective of the trip, which was to build upon relationships already formed in the community and to spread the Word to as many people as we could.

Allow me to unfold a day-by-day glimpse of what we experienced:
